An Chéad Chomaoineach; 28ú Bealtaine 2016

A thuismitheoirí a chairde,

Dé Sathairn 28^ú Bealtaine 2016 Christ Our Light 10:30r.n.

Ní fada uainn lá na Comaoineach agus tá na buachaillí agus cailíní ag ullmhú go dian leis na múinteoirí Miriam, Orla agus Emer. Tá sé de nós againn cóisir a bheith sa scoil tar éis an t-aifreann i gcónaí. I value the wonderful community spirit generated in Gaelscoil Uí Ríordáin. Parents and friends help out in so many ways around the school in a voluntary capacity, e.g. Bord Bainistíochta, Coiste na dTuistí, An Gháirdín Orgánach, An Squad Glas to mention but a few.

Is lá speisialta (special occasion) an Chéad Chomaoineach do pháistí, tuismitheoirí agus sean-tuismitheoirí (parents & grandparents).

Tá traidisiún ann go dtagann tuismitheoirí & leanaí chun na scoile le haghaidh cupán tae & caife tar éis na Comaoineach. (Parents & friends come to the Gaelscoil for a cup of tea or coffee after the ceremony.)

Bheinn fíor-bhuíoch, a thuismitheoirí, if  you, the parents of classes Naíonáin Bheaga, Naíonáin Mhóra, 1, 3, 4, 5 agus 6 were willing to bake or to prepare a little something for Saturday 28^th May. This would be greatly appreciated. Anyone willing to bake or make sandwiches or fruit skewers etc. can drop them to the halla Saturday morning 9:00-11:30a.m. Beidh plátaí le fáil ón oifig. (Disposable plates will be available from the oifig next week.)
To ensure that we can prepare and serve up to 700 people comfortably I need at least 50 volunteers to help with the catering.

Tá Coiste na dTuistí (Parents Association) den scoth againn chun cabhrú linn. (We have a very committed Parents Association.) I mbliana táim ag lorg cabhrach ó thuismitheoirí Naíonáin Bheaga, Naíonáin Mhóra, Rang 1, Rang 3, Rang 4, Rang 5 & Rang 6. (I am looking for parents from N. Bheaga, N. Mhóra, Ranganna 1, 3, 4, 5 & 6 to volunteer for a couple of hours.)
Beidh seans agat bualadh agus aithne a chur ar thuismitheoirí eile. (You will meet and get to know other parents.) Bíonn an-fháilte roimh Dads chomh maith. (Dads are very welcome and it’s great to see Dads helping out.)

Tá spioraid iontach sa scoil, rud a thugamar linn ón sean-scoil. The school is getting bigger but this will not change the wonderful family atmosphere that is always present and carried through in all events. Ar aghaidh linn le chéile agus guímíd gach rath ar Ranganna 2.
